I always remember what matters — oh! Is that a corn?
Alva used to be the postman in the village a long time ago the habit is still deeply ingrained in her so it is not uncommon for her to assume a letter she receives is supposed to be delivered to somebody else. Despite her age of 73 she is still very active and has never gotten herself lost. She loves food so talking with her could be quite a challenge if she is eyeing a delicious corn.

She loves the view from her lighthouse it reminds her of times she flew to Silfurhöfn to deliver or collect Post. Nowadays she hardly gets there anymore tough. She still loves to watch the waves crash against the cliffs. According to her it helps her sleep better.

“I don’t just see the glass half full—I paint the world until it overflows with color.”
They are a lemur with a very bubbly personality. In their eyes the glass is always half full which reflects in their favourite color: yellow, that they make a point of wearing all day every day. At only 19 they are always full of energy and don’t care much about social norms. You can count on them to always have something encouraging to say even on a rainy day. Their greatest passion is painting, especially colorful landscapes with a lot of life in them. Thus they can often be found working on a new painting in scenic places all around their home.

Where they Live

A sunlit coastal home where art and ocean waves fill every corner
Aspen lives in a very open home that allows for a lot of natural light to pass through which is very important for their painting. It is located in the village of Silfurhöfn as close to the beautiful coast as possible. They are not at all bothered by the constant sound of the waves, they say it let’s them sleep peacefully at night. As one may expect, every bit of available space is neatly filled with painting supplies or the beautiful finished and unfinished works they have created. Hung on the walls their favourites can be viewed by visitors.

I like watching the stars — makes everything I’m dealing with feels smaller for a while
Casper is a very sensitive soul who loves to watch the train disappear on the horizon. They are very knowledgeable about Constellations and often can be found discussing them with Aspen. Despite spending a lot of time with the Lemur they have a hard time around them. While Casper admires them the Goat is clearly not used to being around such an energetic person. He cares deeply about the people he loves.

Where they Live

Capers tendency for melancholy is reflected in his house. In stark contrast to the gloomy house he does have a lot of colorful images in his house that Aspen painted for him, most of which are stored away. The only painting he hung up is of a colorful night sky he hung over his bed. It reminded him of the time the entire Village watched a Meteor shower together shortly after he came to Fjallvík.

Cecil usually silently observes from Above his albinism has left them quite troubled so he doesn’t actively interact with others a lot of the time and bids his time in his nest. He used to be responsible for the Powerline in the village. He occasionally watches new people in town.

The Power pole that powers the city
The Power system in the village is essential to it’s functions. Cecil made it his personal mission to keep it in tact and is always willing to help with repairs and other electrical issues. Living near the town center he has a great place to watch over it.

“I’ve learned the sea is honest. People… less so.”
She spends the majority of her time fishing by the sea. She has a tendency to catch more fish than she could ever eat on her own. Despite Cecil’s attempts at being sneaky when stealing fish from her, Ester is well aware of the Raven’s actions and even sends him a bucket when she caught to much. She keeps her heart close to her chest and only opens up once she is certain the trust is not misplaced.

Where they Live

Ester lives in a house at the end of a pier that extends out into the sea. The building is lit by the reflection of the ocean, giving it a soft blue glow throughout the day. It’s quiet and isolated, with only the sound of waves and the creaking wood of the pier around it.

“I may talk your ear off, but I’ll also help your garden grow—just keep an eye on your stuff it might just
start growing somewhere.” Helena is a Squirrel, always happy to have a chat with a tendency to speak faster than some can hear at times. Has green hair and an even greener thumb. Unfortunately she struggles not to succumb to her natural instincts. Items she gets her hands on can easily be found buried in a field which caused a lot of complains over time.

A Treehouse without the Tree but a lot of Life and hidden Stuff
Helena’s house hides a lot of objects she horded over the years she lived there and collected this includes her gigantic food storage as well as Objects other Villagers gave to her. Ironically enough her house is very organized with beautifully flowers Vivien gifted to her.

“I keep my ears up, my steps light, and my heart open—there’s always another good story waiting down the
road.” Hopper is a Rabbit with enthusiasm for new things. He used to travel across land and ocean in search for adventure with his best buddy. Always has a good story to share with you if you are willing to listen. Nowadays he loves spending his time relaxing in the shade of his home playing his Banjo. Even tough he lives close to the station not many villagers seem to actually talk to him.

Where they Live

A totaled wagon that found a new purpose
Hopper chose a small totaled wagon on an long abandoned trail track. The forest nearby in combination with the with rust covered wagon tend to scare new visitors off should they arrive at the trainstation at dusk. With the wagon goods where used to be brought to the isolated village but after it accidentally decoupled and crashed it the bumper, nobody ever bothered removing it.

Nilsen has kept the trainyard running for a long time. He’s known for cheerfully greeting all passengers. He’s very passionate about his Diorama. Which he never vasts an opportunity to talk about. You’re gonna to hear about it plenty… Is open to learn new things but hesitated how well a Sloth would do as their new Postman.

Where they Live

The Trainstation that connects the Island with the rest of the region.
The Trainstation where Nilsen lives is well kept despite it’s age He has kept the trainyard running for as long as most villagers can remember. It is filled with lifelike Dioramas. He makes sure to display gifts proudly and cherishes the community deeply.

”A little beauty, a little care, and a handful of fresh flowers can change the whole day.”
The affectionate Sparrow carries Flowers wherever she goes. She certainly is the most welcoming among the villagers sometimes to a fault. If she spots somebody in a bad mood she hands them a flower. She is convinced Flowers can brighten everyone’s day. Especially Casper is the Victim of her flower giving even tough they have already told her multiple times that they are not a fan of them. Helps Helena use her instincts to plant flowers instead of burying packages.

Where they Live

A Birdhouse with more Greenery than the forest itself.
The most prominent feature of the house is the Roof filled with plants and even small trees that were planted by her and Helena. Not a single room in her home contains fewer than five plants some up to 30.
